Another entertaining comedy night by Thames Music and Drama with some of your favourite artists and some new ones.

Victorian High Tea & Tea Duelling 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Thames Workingmans Club, corner Pollen and Cochrane Street

Your taste buds will delight in the delectable morsels washed down with an uplifting cuppa.  But don’t let the finery and impeccable good manners fool you – those competing in the Tea Duelling can take their challenge very seriously.   Dunk you biscuit into the tea then hold upright.  Gravity will play its part as the biscuits become soggier and unstable.  The one still standing, when their opponents biscuit has broken or dropped off, wins. No experience necessary. Also, a wonderful spectator sport.

A family friendly and wonderfully funny, entertaining circus event brought to us by the team from Colossal: Zane, Degge & Imogen, and their friends. Come one come all for an amazing show for the entire family! With side splitting comedy and amazing circus acts. Jump on board – Full steam ahead!

Costs: $35 Adults, $30 Senior, $15 Children aged 2+

Thames Twilight Trains – NEW – from 5.00pm to sunset

Victoria Park, cnr Brown & Albert St

Departs: the station at 401A Brown Street, Grahamstown, Thames

The Thames Gauge Railway will run trains, including one steamer, for twilight runs. The station platform, tunnel and carriages will have various illuminations. Some trains will have a heritage commentary. The twilight services are alcohol and smoke free. (No dining service is provided on any train) Some entertainment will be available to pass the time while awaiting train departures.

Cost: $5 per adult:  $2 for children:  children under 3 years old free. (includes two circuits of the track)

Bigfoot Stomp Box – NEW 7:30pm – 9.00pm

Original, politically engaged acoustic folk punk songs from the heart. Life, love, language, Brexit, wanderlust, intolerance, racism and war are all grist to the mill for James ‘Bar’ Bowen’s beautifully crafted folk songs with a punk rock attitude. Songs to make you laugh, cry and rage. And Dave “Maton” Alley, with well-worn Maton guitars, a Bigfoot Stomp Box, harmonicas and featured percussion, is like a one man show himself – full, driving and extremely dynamic.

Cogs and Grease Circus Cabaret – NEW 8.00pm – 9.00pm

An adult orientated and wonderfully funny, entertaining circus event brought to us by the internationally recognised team from Collossal. An action packed hour of circus, variety and comedy. With a dash of incredible, a truckload of hilarious and just a sprinkling of sexy – there will be something for everyone! Join us for an absolute riot.

Pollen Street, Willoughby to Cochrane St

Meet on Willoughby Street between Pollen & Mackay Streets at 10.00 am – Parade begins at 10.30 am. Parade (Walk/Ride/Drive) from corner of Pollen and Willoughby Street; down length of Pollen Street then ‘machines’ parked up in Kirkwood Street for closer inspection; while walkers explore the steampunk market stalls and enjoy a bite to eat.

Steampunk Markets 9.00am – 3.00pm

Indoor Markets , 705 Pollen Street (old Gastronomics) and Twentyman Carpark southern end of Kirkwood Street.

Steampunk ‘machines’ parked up in Kirkwood Street for closer inspection.  Come and explore the weird and wonderful – but all simply ingenious. Prize giving at 1pm.

A range of roaming entertainment, performers, face painting and fun. Compliments the Steampunk Markets. Come along to enjoy the sights and sounds.

Costume Convergence on Kopu – NEW – 4.00pm – 5.00pm

Historic Kopu Bridge, Kopu Road, Thames

Trace the tracks of horse drawn carts, bicycles and early Model-Ts as we gather the largest number of Steampunkers on a single lane bridge. Converge on the concourse at the cul de sac (east side) of the historic Kopu Bridge before promenading on to this quarter of a mile long 90 year old beauty, a relic from the post Victorian era – the age of daring engineering enterprises and stupendous innovation. Journey down the rabbit hole to a Steampunk Drag Wonderland. Come dressed in your rags or riches, steampunk or drag, all are welcome.
